Hotel Pickwick and Pub "the room with a view"

Einfach Hammer-Lage! Geht nicht besser. Vom Komfort her hatten wir keine grossen Erwartungen. Wir wurden aber positiv überrascht. Es hatte alles, was es für einen kurzen Wochenendaufentalt braucht. Trotz zentraler Lage war es sehr ruhig: Zimmer und Bad waren SEHR sauber! Freundliches Personal, unkompliziertes Ein- und Auschecken. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Zimmer war sehr eng, was aber dem historischen Gebäude geschuldet ist. Für die tolle Aussicht nahmen wir das gerne in Kauf!

The description doesn't lie - my room had a small balcony with a spectacular view of the Chapel Bridge and the Reuss River. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. My room was on the first floor above the pub. I was concerned about noise travelling up, but with the balcony doors closed the room was quiet even during opening hours. I had to go through the pub when checking in, but once you have your key there is a secure door at the back of the hotel which has more direct access. The hotel is close to the main train and bus stations, which was excellent.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The room was clean, a good size, and had a minibar, safe, TV, desk, kettle, etc. There’s no AC, but the fan was enough. The person responsible for the check-in was friendly and helpful. The most impressive thing is the view from the room (it’s amazing!).

Didn’t provide breakfast and the room didn’t have any extra bed sheet.

It was hot because of no air conditioning.

Eine Frühstücksoption im Haus wäre begrüßenswert.

The hotel has a great location on what is probably the most happening street in Lucerne. The room was small and minimalistic but had the neccessities and was clean.

The beds were not very comfortable.

Above the pub. Heat wave hit, no Ac. tried to open the window, it was very loud from the pub.
