Hotel Pickwick and Pub "the room with a view"

Hotel limpio y muy céntrico.

Poco espacioso para 3 personas.

Für uns hat es gestimmt. Nahe zum KKL und mitten in der Stadt. Im Sommer vielleicht etwas belebt. Aber da geht man ja nicht so früh zu Bett.

Aussicht und Athmosphäre einmalig Musik bis 23:30 Uhr und dann war auch wirklich Ruhe

Mir hat alles gefallen. Es war ein besonderes Erlebnis für mich.

Let me first preface what I am about to say by stating that, historically, my reviews tend to be fairly upbeat and positive. With this place, you need to ask yourself one fundamental question: do you wish to stay in a hotel that has a bar and restaurant OR Do you want to hang out in a bar and restaurant that also has rooms? Clearly, the emphasis is on running the bar. I had known problems with my room that should have been resolved before we arrived and certainly fixed while we were there. Yes, the problem (bad fridge) got addressed but not fixed. But the staff knew it was an issue before we arrived. Secondly, if your room is on the floor just above the bar, you’re going to be subjected to music late into the night. Perhaps on a floor higher than 1 it’s not an issue but I would request floors 2-4 and not 1 if you stay here. Overall the place is ok but given the choice in the future, I would not return here. Again, my past reviews are not usually this critical so it took a few things to happen to really irk me like this place did.

The location was absolutely perfect! Excellent view of the chapel bridge and town! Staff were very nice and helpful! We had a room right above the pub and it still wasn’t loud! The pub had wonderful food and beer! The beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in! By far! Even though the room was small, it was perfect! Perfect views and we had whatever we needed! I would definitely stay here next time we visit! 100% recommend! Can walk to everything from the hotel too! Oh, and a coffee kettle and great coffee that they restocked everyday!! Fabulous!!! The best service!

Im Bad: Spiegel und Wand schmutzig. Bettlaken hatte viele Falten. Personal konnte kaum Deutsch.
