Atmospheric B&B right over the bar. We took a room with a balcony overlooking a river, it was nice there. I liked the interior design from beer bottles. If you are not that kind of treveller who is sleeping from 9 pm, it is a really good place, alive, a bar with music and drinks. It is really convenient that you are in the middle of the colonial quarter and the refreshing picturesque river is just behind the building.

Recognise it is a bar as well, so some noise is inevitable sometimes and located near a mosque.

The place is amazing. The bar area and vibe of the place and communal spaces is really nice.

The room didn't have windows that saw out. My wall was made of glass bottles and the balcony very very tiny and you couldn't see much. So it's a room with not a lot of daylight or any view.

The rooms are excellent value for money and are situated on the riverfront, which is a nice place to stroll. The bar is trendy with food and beer (including choices that aren't Bintang). The single room was fairly small and basic but clean and comfortable. There is WiFi in the bar and communal areas if you need to work.

As per other reviews, it's pretty noisy. I visited during Ramadan so in this case it wasn't partying but sermons - starting at 5 am and lasting till 6:30 am.

This was my second visit in 3 months and the staff recognized me immediately, making me feel very welcomed. Breakfast was simple, fried eggs, toast and fried spicy rice but delicious. This place is unique and the price is unbelievably low. If you stay on a Saturday night, expect loud music until 2am. It was not a surprise to me having stayed before. Great band and DJ.
