Surf Ranch Resort - Popoyo

We really enjoyed the condo that we rented, it had everything we needed to cook as well. The beach is right in front. One day we walked down to it and had it all to ourselves. Overall, this resort has huge potential when it's finished, as they told us they are about to start on the main pool, restaurant and waterslide so we will come back when that is finished!

Overall, it was a miserable stay, and I highly recommend you look for another place with a generator. Do yourself a favor, and don’t fall for the pretty pics; it is a scam. Take whatever seemingly nice response to this review with a grain of salt. They truly do not care about your experience while here and have taken no action to address other negative comments. - The guards are nice - The apartment is pretty

- The apartment flooded – no one came to help clean up. The manager did not even respond until I asked why he didn’t respond, to which the answer was ‘sorry.’ The property did not attempt to make it right or help. - Power outages last as long as 15 hours and happen daily - Before booking, I asked how the internet was because it is necessary for my job and they said it was good. What they did not say was the power knocks out the internet daily. - The property replied in the comments to another guest that they have a generator, but they do not have a generator. When I asked about it, the property manager had no clue what I was talking about, then said it was “broken” and that they were not fixing it. - No one came to clean the apartment – we stayed for a month and had to ask for a mop and clean linens. - No water service or delivery – you’ll have to make the trek. - No emergency lights for frequent power outages. - No community area or garden. - No screens on the sliding windows, so when the power goes out, you cannot open a window, and it is super hot. - The kitchen smells terrible because they use elbow pipes, and it gets backed up. - There is only one outlet in each room, and you need an extension cord. - The location is awful, it is not close to Poppoyo, and the drive down the rocky road is miserable. - The air conditioner leaks on the bed. - No security camera. - No smoke/monoxide detector.
