The Forge

The room was spotless with a really comfy bed and great views. We had a friendly welcome from Beth and all the team, and the food was exceptional with a good choice.

Good breakfast well presented. Location was good

The room was small and dated décor. The bed frame looked as though it might break at any moment. A lack of lighter bite food in the evening, sandwiches were advertised on the wall but only available for lunch.

Cheery greeting when we arrived. Good drinks from the bar. Had evening meal and breakfast. Both were very well cooked.

I am elderly and the bed was very low down.

Breakfast was superb and plentyfull.

Nice pub and rooms weee very clean. Rhe breakfast qas also well cooked and good quality.

We booked Room 6 which qas an attic room with a sloping roof and VERY small windows. Overall it was cramped and we wouldn't book that one again.

Lovely place So quiet at night time.

I know it's emergency light but bright light outside bedroom 3. So bright. Had to put towel on the floor.

Nice cosy pub, well maintained with very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.

Everything was fine except our bedroom which was on the second floor with low sloping ceilings in the eaves resulted in banging my head a couple of times, but otherwise the room was fine, with a perfectly adequate en-suite shower room. For our next visit I would request a room on the first floor which wouldn’t have the same limitations

The pub is lovely, clean. Staff are very polite Bathroom is very nice Very clean and quiet.

The beds. Twin room with metal frame beds. Mattresses are thin and pillows are a bit lumpy. The sun light floods the room very very early as no curtains on the small window.
