Hôtel Le Pavillon des Lys - Amboise Centre

Beautiful room with balcony, amazing view, old charm with updated shower and air conditioner, comfortable bed, location was perfect.

No tea or coffee in room, but could be purchased in the common room.

We were upgraded upon arrival automatically with no extra charge to a very spacious room. My partner and I had more than ample room for our belongings and finding our own personal space and storage. Breakfast was delicious!

The location is perfect - in the centre of town

Two tiny things - firstly our room was rather overlooked so had to make sure the curtains were always closed whilst undressing etc. we were on the ground floor so had people walking past a lot of the time. The other thing was the towels which rather than being white were grey and rather rough. The hotel needs some nice new ones!!

Great location in the center of Amboise. Parking on site was a huge bonus. Room was clean and well equipped.

Since this is 4 star hotel, we were shocked that the beds were so uncomfortable. It was as if they hadn't changed or even rotated the mattress for years. Also the air conditioning blew directly on our face - made it very uncomfortable trying to sleep. And finally, the shower curtain was discolored on the bottom 6 inches or so - again, just really unexpected for a 4 star hotel.
