Uyen's House

The homestay is very cute and well equipped and clean. A lot of plants ang green in the garden and a small stream with fishes which creates a little oasis. Very beautiful place and the hosts were kind and accomodating. They also have breakfast if you order the day before for the next day. The private room is quite big and comfortable and has a good vibe with the glass window. You can rent motorbike at the homestay directly. Honestly it's good value

This is a personnal point of view and does not affect the quality of the homestay and service but because the location is very central, it was very loud at night, traffic and dogs barking didn't stop so I had a lot of trouble falling asleep. Because we were staying in a quiet hotel just before, I found that it was very loud here. Not sure if you hear the noise in all the rooms though.

Backpacker vibe, decorating style with lots of colour, plants and wood. Bed was comfortable, bug netting and a fan provided - kept me very comfortable despite the heat and no AC. Bedside lamp and power outlet were appreciated, as was the jug of water to refill water bottles. There is a common space with potential to meet people. Place is worn but clean where it counts. Bring a lock for the lockers beside the bed (big enough for valuables, not for a whole backpack or suitcase. Uyen was very kind and available to help with local transportation. Great location - across from a park, and walking distance from the beach, food stalls, market, Con Son museum. Would stay here again! Transportation arrangements can be tricky/confusing - heads up to others that the "local bus" looks like a taxi, but you pay per rider. There is no bus/public transportation in the north america sense. There's also taxis, where you pay price per ride regardless of number of passengers. Ask lots of questions :)

I feel sad for the fish living in the floor tank. Would be so much nicer as just plants, without the animals in captivity! Would love if there were a written guide to local taxis/bus/electric golf carts, and estimated trip costs to common destinations - might save Uyen some trouble in explaining to everyone

Had the loveliest few days here and could not recommend it enough! The owner goes above and beyond to put your needs first and shows a genuine care for you - always a big smile, free fresh fruit, great recommendations and lots of nice chats. Great for solo travellers, safe and friendly vibe! Can rent scooters for 150 a day, snorkelling gear for free, can buy beers and breakkie… she has it all !

Nothing to do with the property but make sure u book ferry sooner rather than later (they don’t run everyday and book up fast)

Everything was perfect. Rooms are very nicely designed and the garden us beautiful. But the Highlight is Uyen the host. Her hospitality is just heartwarming. She is very very nice and gave us free fruit every day and helped us with every problem we had. Recommend the place 100%

Lovely room with very good air conditioning. Our room was also cleaned everyday. Uyen was a fantastic host. She made the upmost effort to keep us comfortable and often well fed. Perfect area to stay in. Would definitely recommend!

The host is amazing. Very friendly and helpfull. Also the decorations and vibe of the place is really nice.

There is almost no isolation in the house, so you hear everything. Close by, there are many fish restaurants and karaoke bar with a lot of noise. Also the bed is really hard.

The setting was really nice, really friendly staff who were all helpful, great value.

On a main road so can be noisy so ear plugs recommend, mattress a little hard but room was lovely

I had a fantastic stay at Uyen's House. the hotel is so lovingly decorated with lots of green plants, books and attention to detail. She is such a great, warm-hearted person and helped me with everything. There was also really delicious coffee and breakfast. The room was also very special and creatively decorated, so that I immediately felt at home. Uyen's House moves to another house. This will definitely be just as great! Best homestay on the island!!
