"Comfortable and easy to find with good food"

Simple but comfortable relais, the dinner was excellent, location for us was perfect, bicycle storage was good and the team were friendly.

The outside areas were not as good as shown in the photographs.

Lovely location right in the centre. Near the chateau.

"Sufficient for over night."

Digoin is just in Burgundy, and is a former busy canal junction. These days it is a little tired as a town, and the Relais du Canalou is similarly a little tired. One of or rooms had to be changed as the electricity had failed, but the staff were helpful and understanding, the other was definitely 'economical' in size!. The hotel is a little away from the town centre and on a busy main road which may affect some of the front rooms. It sufficed as an overnight stop, the water was hot and the restaurant food simple but really quite good. Our motorcycles wer parked in a secluded area away fom prying eyes.

The hotel could do with a good make-over, but the area would probably not support it.
