The hotel location was good, being right next to the canal. Outside seating and the bonus of a swimming pool. The staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent as you would expect from a Logis Hotel.

The room and hotel deco was looking tired and needed a revamp. The main issue being the bathroom. The toilet was adjacent to the door. Very difficult to open and close the bathroom door as it needed to be forced passed the toilet. You could not close the door with the toilet seat down. The shower curtain was also mouldy. On the plus side, the bedroom did have aircon..

Staff were friendly and breakfast was good

Considerate staff They made us a lunch to fit our timetable. Location perfect for anyone arriving by rail or intending to take a canal boat.

The car park!

The whole Hotel was very grubby and my room had a horrible over powering smell. I couldn't wait to leave.
