Really good location, spacious room and nice bar with lots of good drink options. Lovely breakfast

Extremely noisy all night until early hours approx 2am - our room (family room) was above the pool room in the pub below. Lots of doors being slammed and loud talking, obviously this is unavoidable staying above a pub but just warning if families have young ones this room might not be the best option

The Eagle is a simple Scottish pub. The staff are welcoming. The rooms are simple, clean and quiet.

The room we stayed in was tired and dated. The shower was just a trickle of water, very slow with not much water coming out of it. It desperately needs doing up.

Easy to find parking available close to the hotel

The staircase was a bit challenging for myself but it wouldn’t stop me from staying again

Breakfast - probably the worst breakfast we have ever had in our 15 years in running tours. Most of the breakfast was either pre-cooked or done in the microwave. We don't think the oil used to fry the mushrooms and the hashbrown had ever been changed - it was awful. Room / hall ways - carpets and furniture need updating

The evening meal was great and the highlight of our stay. Once the football crowd had dispersed, the bar became a lovely, characterful Highland pub with a good atmosphere and good selection of drinks. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for a short stay, if fairly basic. The location is also excellent for exploring Dornoch and the surrounding area.

The raucous football crowd when we arrived was not a great welcome with a European match on the screens and the bar crowded and noisy. Breakfast was very disappointing. We had pre-ordered and selected an 8:30am slot but still waited around 30 minutes for food. When it arrived, the quality was poor: one fried egg was congealed, mushrooms were so salty they were inedible, a hash brown was still frozen in the middle and a sausage was burnt. We raised this with staff, who apologised, but by then we just wanted to continue our journey. Sound insulation could also be improved as we were woken early by guests talking in the corridor, doors closing and noise from neighbouring rooms.
