The Eagle Hotel

The rooms were clean and had everything required. Very comfortable beds we had our evening meal there good choice on menu plus specials to choose from.

The stairs to the rooms could be an issue if mobility wasn’t great but it is an old building

Breakfast was good

There was a constant Humming noise in our room #6 from what i suspect was the Kitchen Extract Fan, which unfortunately ran all night. Our evening meal was found to be only luke warm, think this was due to the staff having to deal with a large american party before our food was brought to the table. i sent mine back to be re-heated, but my wife's meal was unable to do so. The staff did apologise.

The location of the hotel was great. The room was clean and comfortable.

The corridor smelled of fried food and not very fresh at all. The noise at night was very loud from the bar, doors constantly banging throughout the night and very loud guests shouting and room hopping. I realise that there will be some noise from the bar, which wouldn't bother me, but whatever door was being banged sounded like someone dropping gym weights constantly!

No parking and the food was expensive and not great.

Great location with good food

The room was large and very comfortable. Excellent choice for breakfast which was very well cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful. We felt it would have been too noisy in the bar to eat dinner there, but we went to a wonderful Italian restaurant nearby. An excellent location for visiting the cathedral and Dornoch beach, which was beautiful.

Plumbing in the bathroom was a bit noisy. No hairdryer in the room.
