Comfortable big beds, good beer downstairs, big room

Nice traditional pub, no frills but we really enjoyed our dinner and a few drinks at the bar.

Slow service in restaurant. Noise of other guests doors closing and creaky floorboards

The staff were very helpful and friendly, evening food great. Excellent real beer from Cromarty Brewery.

Nothing really - could say decor was dated but it was really clean also

Lovely old pub in the middle of the main street of a beautiful,little town. The bar is snug and friendly. Food was good pub style. Staff are friendly Room was generous, modern and well appointed.

Noise from patrons and guests continued into the night - but it is a pub - and the noise was tolerable. Room heating was frugal - but tolerable.

Easy to find arriving into Dornoch. Rooms comfortable enough, only twin rooms. Clean and tidy. Bathrooms looked recently upgraded. Busy bar downstairs, had dinner there and was a good pub meal.

We arrived late afternoon and it felt like an inconvenience to the staff, who were busy but didn't make for a genuine welcome. Breakfast was incredibly slow, even though they asked for orders the night before. 40 minutes wait for cooked breakfast and it wasnt very busy at all. I would suggest some music or a tv on as all the breakfast room could hear the rubbish the kitchen staff were talking. When it arrived everything was overcooked and looked like there was no care or pride taken in the food they were serving. The waitress kept pouring water over the same ground coffee, not bothering to change the filter and coffee for each pot so it was just brown water by the 3rd pot of water.

Although the pictures on Booking.com looked very well maintained the inside of the hotel was not as well presented. Breakfast was good.Location very good.
