Beautiful. Woodsy.

Too far from Madison. I hated having to drive every day. They should have shuttles?

Very cozy, in all spaces offering relaxation, warmth, pleasure. Beds very comfortable. Towels plush. Very homey, we liked it very much. Many quiet places outside room to enjoy a good book. Plenty of outdoor views of the river with seating.

South park entrance closure was very inconvenient. Although close to downtown, we could not easily access Madison's Main Street. Pool area needs more hooks, cubbies and chairs.

Great view! Food was good & staff was friendly. If you are an "outdoor" person - great for hiking & some camping. If you just like to rest your bones - great views from benches. Summertime would be great because weather better than March. Fall with color change would be spectacular!

The bridge that brings you in on a shorter drive, was closed for construction. So, the winding road in was a bit much and at first, we thought it was a "forever" drive - but turned out okay. The woods could use a bit of cleaning out, which isn't the inn's fault, but the state should address that.

We love the Clifty Inn! It’s a scenic spot and full of beautiful views. We love walking the grounds, have taken fun hikes and enjoy the atmosphere of the inn. We often play games in the lounge area in the evenings, and our kids love the pool.

Recently stayed here with my daughter and grandchildren for a short Spring Break Getaway. We stayed in a river view balcony room which was great. No issues with the room but they do need a better selection of TV stations. The pool does need work but they are getting ready to do that. Ate three meals in the restaurant. See my separate review under the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Great location, convenient for hiking and exploring the state park.

We had old out of date rooms with many issues. Air conditioning wasn’t working and it was 85 outside, made sleeping very uncomfortable. Most TV channels were glitchy and the shower/tub leaked all over the floor.

The food was great and staff was accommodating.

Need to fix the drain in shower. Maybe update a little but not get rid of the history. I am glad that the pool area is being redone. Getting a little rough looking.

Location was beautiful in the woods and trails area. Over looking the river.

Only small problem was that the north entrance was closed due to repairs. Which was the closest entrance to the lodge. Wish we had known that before turning onto the road. Yes there was road closures signs but we didn’t know if it was before or after the lodge.
