after the 3rd day, we found the restaurant's menu incredibly boring and more expensive compared to the restaurants in the area.

Excellent small boutique hotel but with the quality off a 5 star. Located in Matemwe a small village.Eco friendly design with all necessarys to have a relaxing vacation. Wonderful breakfast with fruits eggs. toast or pancakes. The dinner was also excellent.The chef takes care of all the details on the plate. The Hotel a swimming pool and very cozy space to take breakfast or relax. The beach is exactly next to the Hotel. The Hotel even has bicycles to rent for a walk witch i recommend. The personal is very friendly and always happy to assist you The owner Ms Agnes welcomed as like a family member .

*Room was super clean and large enough to fit a small family. *The breakfast menu was comprehensive and made to order. Restaurant opens at 8am but they will fix you a pre-packed breakfast if you are out and about in the morning. *Lunch and dinner had plenty of options even for people with dietary requirements. *The pool area and the pool itself was cleaned daily. *Plenty of games and other activities to do throughout the compound as well as bicycles available for hire for a small fee. *The real gem is the team managing and taking care of you at the hotel. The hospitality is exceptional and you are always met with a smile. I felt welcome and very well taken care of. Thank you for hosting me.

This was our second stay at Boutique Villa Unaweza, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The entire property is beautifully designed and stylish, with every detail thoughtfully planned. The staff, from the restaurant team to the cleaning ladies, were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. One of the special touches we loved was the yoga classes, which are a perfect way to unwind, and the occasional live music nights in the restaurant, adding a delightful atmosphere to the evenings. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and designed for ultimate relaxation. The hotel is just a few steps from a stunning beach, ideal for peaceful morning walks. This time, we traveled with a rental car, and the secure parking made everything very convenient. The hotel itself feels incredibly safe, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. For instance, our flight was in the evening, and they kindly allowed us to keep our room a little longer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. This is without a doubt one of the best places to stay when visiting this beautiful island!

It’s a small boutique hotel and therefore quiet and private. There was always space around the beautiful clean pool. They offered free yoga classes which we enjoyed a lot. Rooms were beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was great.

We requested a twin room (through booking.com) but on arrival this did not seem possible. Staff handled the situation well and I would suggest double checking requests beforehand by getting in touch with the hotel directly. At the time we stayed they were busy building, which was not a major problem but the construction noise was sometimes interfering or distracting .

The passage to the beach is very narrow and dark at night time. Not comfortable for a solo traveller.

We had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff were absolutely top-notch—so attentive and caring, always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. The food was superb, especially the breakfast, which was both plentiful and delicious. You won't go hungry, that's for sure! The level of detail and attention throughout our stay made it feel special. The rooms exceeded our expectations—actually even better than what we saw in the photos! They were spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. We also took part in the yoga classes, which were a lovely addition to our stay—relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, an excellent hotel if you plan to mostly stay on-site!.

The only downside is the area around the hotel. While it's a peaceful haven inside, the neighborhood outside is quite poor and rundown, which can be a bit of a contrast.

We have stayed for 12 nights at Villa Unaweza and absolutely loved it! One of our best stays in the world. We felt so much at home. Thank you so much for your kindness, smiles, jokes, good food, drinks, yoga, very clean and comfortable room, and service. The trips you can book at the villa are arranged very well (and recommended to book here). The pool is so relaxing, we ended up spending lots of days here. Perfect environment to recharge your batteries.
