"Fantastic place."

The place is perfect on the beach. The whole staff is so nice and welcoming. A nice room with a great view. Local shops nearby, with friendly people. Can't recommend this enough.

"Kiva is a great choice for Matemwe Beach."

Matemwe Beach must be one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. You can walk for kilometers on beautiful white soft sand. The beach is fairly quiet so you are not disturbed by the "beachy boys" all the time. You look onto Mnemba Island and doing a snorkelling excursion there from Kiva is very easy and accessible. Being on the eastern side the sun rises are magnificent. Breakfasts and dinners were good at Kiva with staff happy to assist with any requests.

"Quiet and peaceful"

Location of hotel and my room 1 was great

No screens on windows so they had to be closed at night which prevented hearing the ocean. Also could only swim in the ocean at high tide due to sea urchins during low tide.

quiet, safe, relaxing, very friendly staff.

would have liked to see a few more water sport equipment. more than 1 mask for snorkeling. a couple paddle boards to go out to the reef.
