Villa Kiva Boutique Hotel

Villa Kiva in Matemwe was de laatste plek die wij aan deden in onze vakantie naar Zanzibar. Maar als we van tevoren hadden geweten dat we het hier zo naar ons zin zouden hebben, waren we eerder hier naartoe gekomen. De kamers zijn niet super deluxe, maar wel echt netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien. Daarnaast heeft de villa twee heerlijke zwembaden, voldoende goede luchtbedden om optimaal tot rust te komen en een prachtig restaurant. Het personeel dat bij Villa Kiva werkt is daarnaast ontzettend vriendelijk en professioneel. En het eten en drinken in het restaurant is iedere keer heerlijk geweest. Daarnaast kijk je vanuit het restaurant zo op het strand en de oceaan, waardoor je een fantastisch uitzicht hebt. Via dit strand kan je daarnaast zo doorlopen naar de duikschool van One Ocean, die op vijf minuten loopafstand ligt. Tot slot vonden we het een enorme service dat we kostenloos gebruik konden maken van een late checkout. Kortom: we hebben het echt heerlijk gehad hier!

De enige tip die ik kan bedenken: organiseer naast de yoga of de 'reefwalk' bijvoorbeeld live-muziek op bepaalde avonden (zoals in het weekend). Dat had ons verblijf echt perfect gemaakt.

The hotel is located right in front the beach and the restaurant is very pleasant because you can see the ocean while eating. The staff was very kind and the quality of the food was very good.

The shower was a bit small and the bathroom floor in front of it got wet

Air Tanzania's lateness on all our flights which had nothing to do with Villa Kiva.

Loved everything! The staff is very very kind and always smiling, especially Petro who welcomed us, they really care about making you feel well and relaxed :) The place is beautiful and the location is perfect, away from the more touristic areas but still strategical to go to all the interesting places in Zanzibar. Stunning beach with coral reef. Every night they come to open the mosquito nets and spray mosquito spray, and they perfectly clean every morning. We also booked the snorkeling and dolphin swimming tour through Villa Kiva and had an amazing experience with Ali, who would dive with us and make wonderful videos. 100% recommended!! I would for sure stay here if visiting Zanzibar again

1000/10. This is incredible place. You will not regret it. Calm place, beautiful interior design, warm and kind hotel staff, really helpful manager, the best beach - wide and clean, two swimming pools, yummy food, comfy beds, yoga classes! I was in many hotel around the world and I am rather picky but this place should have the rate closer to 10 for sure! I liked it so much that I decided to come back here for a second stay. In Matemwe - the best place to stay for a couple of nights!
