Hotel Quinto Sol

I rarely leave negative reviews, but what happened here was unacceptable and honestly inhumane. On Saturday March 14th, around 16:00 / 4pm, I arrived at this property with my service dog (with proper documentation). I was refused entry because they don’t allow pets. At that moment, I was already in the middle of a panic attack that had started during the drive. By the time I arrived, I was in visible distress and ended up lying on the ground outside the hotel for about an hour and a half. What is deeply shocking is that a staff member from the hotel saw me in this condition and chose to do absolutely nothing. No help, no water, no assistance. I was left there lying on the bare ground in front of the gate, in a vulnerable state as I could barely talk and breathe, completely ignored, and looked down like an inconvenience. They refused to just let me in so I could rest on a couch or chair in the shade. All that mattered was their policy not allowing pets. This goes far beyond a policy issue. This is about basic humanity and decency — and there was none. The hotel also refused to reimbursed me despite denying me entry, although a service dog is medically necessary assistance animal, and therefore should not fall under standard pet restrictions. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to think twice. Policies are one thing, but how you treat a human being in distress says everything. If you are looking for a place that values basic human decency, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

The owner is super friendly and hospitable, and although I didn't consider the pool when booking, Mazunte can be really hot and it's really great being able to cool off in there. The location means it's quiet, and has a beautiful view from the terrace

Nothing they can do about it! but it is up a hill, so in the middle of the day, it's a sweaty journey home.

Such a lovely stay! The pool was great, the air conditioning worked well, we were able to use the kitchen to cook for ourselves, and the staff was lol super friendly. Thank you to Caesar for taking care of our every need.

The hotel seemed under construction (considerable noise, eerie pool area) Difficult to reach (though that is emphasized in the description) Shower with low pressure It’s in the middle of the nature so it’s normal that you will find some insects No drinking water Overall found it a bit expensive for the quality, but I think this is common in Mazunte

El clima, la comodidad de la cama, hospital del anfitrión, la vista, estuvo muy bien.

La entrada es un poco confusa.

La ubicación y el acceso. No hay agua caliente

Es un lugar muy bonito, su alberquita está súper bien y tiene una vista muy bonita

Hay unas escaleras bieeen empinadas y en mero sol es muy cansado y deshidratador jaja
