Beautiful room overlooking the park, clean and comfortable. All staff were amazing and made me feel really welcome during my stay. Good breakfast with beautifully cooked eggs to order (the lady chef doing the omelettes was lovely and really professional, and could remember how I liked my eggs, loved those little touches that make you feel at home). There was a good choice of restaurants to eat in the hotel so there is no need to venture out, if you don't like to. Plenty of Ubers to book if you fancy going out too. Nice rooftop for sundowners. The hotel arranged a private night-time safari for us in the National Park. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it - we saw lots of animals, without the day crowds. Recommended.

It got really busy with various events going on and local weddings / birthdays / graduation celebrations at the weekend. The hotel restaurants are open to non-guests an the swimming pool area, which is quite small, got converted into a dinning area on the Sunday with lots of children so out of bounds for hotel guests, which I had not realised when I booked a couple of extra days looking forward to a relaxing weekend (after the conference I attended during the week). My room was just below the rooftop and it got very noisy at the weekend so I was efficiently moved to a quieter room, still facing the park (not many animals to see though) and with a little balcony, which I enjoyed with my book and a cold beer.

We were upgraded to a suite on Christmas Eve 😊

The accommodation is terrible and the beds are really bad. We barely got to sleep. Went for dinner and ordered their recommendation … a large steak and it was so poorly cooked and hard to eat that we left it
