Great location, peaceful, amazing staff

It was a nice place with a great bed.

The location was very far out of the way. The fact that the hot tube was broken and that there were only 3 of the 8 outdoor activities offered really made me wonder about this resort. Honestly I had dinner at the Bellevue resort down the road and I wish I would have stayed there!

Loved the beach, the hotel was beautiful and looked really new, rooms were big, comfortable and clean Staff was attentive Breakfast buffet was quite great if you like Filipino breakfast. There’s good western options too.

Everything was good. The location, the view, the people who worked there.

Modala Beach Resort has a fantastic location right by the beach, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The service overall was friendly and accommodating, and the staff on-site made us feel welcome during our stay. One standout for me was the room — it was exceptionally spacious and actually the largest I stayed in during my month-long trip across the Philippines, including other 4 and 5-star resorts. The comfort and space really added to the overall experience.

The main drawback came down to communication prior to arrival. Across multiple resorts in the Philippines, including this one, I found that email responses were often delayed or not acknowledged at all unless followed up several times. While everything on-site was good, communication is a fundamental part of customer service, especially when guests are trying to confirm details before arrival. Even a simple acknowledgment goes a long way in providing reassurance. This was the only area that stopped it from being a 5-star experience, as everything else during the stay was genuinely enjoyable.
