The staff and manager were amazing!! The spa treatments were great The evening meal was poor but was refunded so that's good Breakfast was decent

We had a really lovely stay at the Macdonald Cardrona and will absolutely be back. The hotel is beautifully appointed throughout, the rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and very well serviced, and the views out over the golf course and the surrounding hills are simply stunning — the kind of outlook that makes you stop and appreciate where you are. Breakfast was excellent, but the real highlight of our stay was the staff. Joshua, Razi and the rest of the team were simply outstanding — attentive, warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure guests had everything they needed. It makes such a difference when the people looking after you clearly care, and every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel. You can tell there's a great team culture here, and it shows in every interaction. A superb hotel in a beautiful setting, run by a genuinely excellent team. Highly recommended.

I stay here often and its ok.

The breakfasts have suffered with cost cutting, several items that were on the menu last year are not available now Like the freshly made bread, and Black pudding, it seems like someone has made the decision to cut costs and things are not the same, similar items just cheaper. The TVs in pretty much all rooms are from 1970 and can only receive 10 channels, the food in the restaurant is Ok, but £20 for a small burger and fries??? come on, Just get in your car go into Peebles and you can get a sit down 3 course Indian for the same money. in a nutshell its going downhill, ill be looking at staying elsewhere which is a shame as I have stayed here nearly 10 times over the last 2 years.
