Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf & Spa

Location in beautiful grounds with nice views over the Tweed valley, friendly staff, very clean overall, and nice swimming pool.

Bed was too soft, lack of power points to charge phones near bed, restaurant experience was disappointing in variety of choices, expensive for what it was.

Overall excellent stay.

Rooms were tired, food was average, service was variable

The staff were very responsive and friendly.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, genuinely asking about your stay experience, food options etc. we had a minor maintenance issue, it was resolved within the hour.

I felt the food menus were a bit bland, dated. Alcohol was very expensive.

Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Room was spacious and looked like it had recently been repainted and was very clean.

Furniture was a bit dated and could do with an upgrade.

Breakfast was ok - not outstanding.

Atmosphere in restaurant was great. Staff were excellent. Prices were high- but quality was not.

Food was expensive and the quality and quantity of my main course was pretty average
