Yes the inside may be a bit dated as people pointed out, but the room was clean which is a main thing for me, and quiet, and wonderful views over the loch opposite. The service from staff was absolutely fantastic, the two young men serving at dinner time and one of them again at breakfast, were polite and really friendly and a credit to the hotel. The food was magnificent, and massive servings. We will definitely be back again thank you

Our room (no. 9) was very warm (a big hot water tank for the whole annexe extension was installed in a cupboard in the corner) and the window couldn’t be opened very far. The manager/owner, initially friendly, became very unsympathetic when we asked if we could change rooms. He just said he was full and he’d anyway never had any complaints about our room before and that was that. Most unfortunate attitude. Cost-wise, it was by far the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our tour of the highlands and the only one we would never consider going anywhere near again.
