Poolewe Hotel

Nice place and delicious breakfast.

The hotel requires renovation and thorough cleaning.

It was in the right location

Furnishings were dated and tired. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower didn’t work properly. The evening meal was good but expensive. The breakfast was terrible everything was burnt apart from the scrambled egg which had uncooked bits of egg in it .

 A fairly nice old fashioned litlle hotel . It was raining non stop when we arrived, after a long trip,we were exhausted and were hoping to wait in the hotel lobby while our room was being prepared  , it is a very common practice, and hotels are fully equipped to accommodate early arrivals.  There were two nice litlle lounges, on each side of the reception desk and there were no customer there . BUT the gentleman at the reception was very cold and had no business sense or did not care, was not welcoming at all and we had to wait all day in the rain. " NOT BEFORE 4 pm " so we had to wait in the car because it was raining. He probably had his reasons ,he could have put it nicely and we probably would have understood... In other circumstances and with a nicer welcome we would  have dined in the hotel and probably would have had a drink in the bar. On top if that,it was not cleaned and mouldy around our windows,as well as somme corners on the floor in the breakfast room. I must say the two lads saved the day,who were working there saved the day ,they were very nice and helpful.

Prachtige omgeving, lekker bed en prima kamer. Honden zijn welkom.

Der Burger im Restaurant war bereits angeschnitten und nicht frisch, es gab aber keinen Ersatz. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Frühstück war durchschnittlich, der Bacon verbrannt und ein Blick in die Küche vom Hof aus ist nicht zu empfehlen. Muss man nicht haben, schon gar nicht für diesen Preis.
