The staff were great. The creativity of the rooms truly unique. The setting is beautiful.

Our room, Fred's Lair, was rather small and I did not like having the tub in the bedroom. I had to delay my morning shower until my husband awoke.

This hotel has so much charm. Everywhere you look there is a custom touch to add to this already beautiful property. There is so much more art than the photos on the listing displays. Every wall has some kind of custom art or theme. It's kitschy in a good way if you're into that like we are. The view of the sun rising over the Catskills was phenomenal and the babbling brook outside the hotel is lovely. Overall, it's a really visually stimulating stay!

I have no complaints about the property itself, but the area leaves something to be desired. We thought the beginning of April would show more signs of life as this area is big on spring tourism, but most of the shops and restaurants were still closed for the season. Not anyone's fault, we were just here a bit too early. If you are planning to stay in the off season, I would recommend ensuring you can buy microwavable or ready made meals from a grocery story before arriving.

This was just the quick getaway my husband and I needed for Valentine’s Day weekend. Great customer service, unique hotel rooms, and quiet ambiance.

Great stuff and location.

Having had a great experience the last time we went up I was looking forward to this trip. I was not happy that I had booked a certain themed room and when I arrived was informed that we got moved to a different room. I had booked the trip about 4 months in advance to ensure I got the room my wife wanted to stay in. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. If I had have been notified before my arrival it wouldn’t have been that bad for me. That was very disappointing to me. The room I ended up in was very nice. I was told it was an upgrade but had gone from a suite with a king and queen bed to a room with just queen beds. The suite was very clean and my wife did like it but it wasn’t what she had asked me to get. It was supposed to be a surprise that I had been able to get the suite. We love the area and the peaceful atmosphere there. The first day the desk person must’ve been having a bad day because she wasn’t friendly. Saturday and Sunday the desk person was amazing. I wanted to plan another trip up this year but I’m hesitant. I don’t want to drive about 4 hours and then find out that I’m not staying where I booked especially since I’ve been looking to go bigger and upgrade from a suite to cottage. Overall the trip was good but extremely let down by no notice that I wasn’t getting what I had booked months in advance.

This place is so much fun !!. Themed rooms are a must. Need a little more attention to detail ( several light bulbs out , no tissues in the tissue box, no shampoo in the container in the shower. ) But to be more positive the decor was fun. Lots of space, very close to restaurants and small town. I will 100% be back.
