I had done my booking for a week, the rooms were filthy with an odd stench. But the worst were the staff. Extremely rude, started using abusive swearing language and tried to manhandle my luggage while screaming at me. Only because I stayed 15 more minutes over my checkout time after staying in this hotel for a week. Forcefully unlocked the door while I was packing my stuff and intruded my privacy and started acting strange and yelling swearing words and saying that he will throw my stuff out if I don't leave. Although his father was nice and apologised for his crazy behaviour. But i would never recommend this place to anyone. The worst in the UK.

Good location to Reading Town centre and the motorway. It has Parking (at your own risk, be afraid be very afraid), Staff tried to be helpful (not including the Cleaners) even told me to come direct and not via book.com Food places nearby.

Where do i start -Car pack has lots of places to park BUT NO one knows how to park in a parking bay so spent most my time fearing for my car. The hotel is VERY old, run down and dirty. The Hotel of DRUGS!! to which the man showing me to the room seemed to laugh it off. 24hour constantly smelling of weed or cigarette coming through my door that i had to use my suitcase, a towel and coat to stop and block the door to stop it coming in. The room was Disgusting, it was filthy and bed covered in ceiling dust and brick because its falls down on top of your head when the loud man above moves back and forth in his room. I had to go out and physically buy new bed sheets as the ones provide where unclean and holes in it (Cig burns). The curtains are yellow from smoke and has crusty men's body fluid on them (this is not a joke). there is damp and black mood on the window and in bathroom. I had to buy cleaning equipment to clean and wipe down the room and when i asked for a bigger towel received another small hair towel. Walls are paper thin. Walls had blood and dirty on them so did the doors. the Toilet had poo and dried on urine on the seat. The provided toilet roll looked like it had been dropped on the floor outside in the rain and then put in the room on the radiator to dry, the shower didn't work and i couldn't regulate the temp, it was burn your skin off hot or cold. There was a Constant never ending Generator/ buzzing Noise that would NOT stop in the day or at night so sleeping wasn't a thing. Slugs in the room.

Very shabby decor, shower was pretty disgusting and curtains were extremely thin which meant that the security light outside which flashed on and off constantly all night meant trying to sleep was almost impossible. The walls were incredibly thin and could hear every creak and conversation. I ended up having to buy earplugs and an eye mask.

I stayed at the Tower House Reading for a good sixteen days. I was initially supposed to stay for a shorter length but had to extend my stay for other reasons and the staff at the hotel were super helpful and accommodative. I stayed at a single room with shared toilet. However, there were shower and a sink/basin inside the room which was very very convenient. The room was small, however, it seemed enough with a bed, a big closet hanger, the shower room, sink, and a small drawer. The room had good sunlight and enough heating. The location is very convenient with the beautiful Palmer Park on the other side of the road and shops and restaurants nearby. I would especially recommend Biriyani Lounge to anyone staying here. The hotel is quite and rooms are cleaned daily.
