Tower House Hotel

The hotel was quiet.

There was mildew on the shower and window frames. There was no hot water at the basin, the shower is a dribble, the shaving light didn’t work and there was only a tiny mirror. It’s cheap, but very poor.

Pro's Good location to Reading Town centre and the motorway. It has Parking (at your own risk, be afraid be very afraid), Staff tried to be helpful (not including the Cleaners) even told me to come direct and not via book.com

Where do i start -Car pack has lots of places to park BUT NO one knows how to park in a parking bay so spent most my time fearing for my car. The hotel is VERY old, run down and dirty. The Hotel smells of DRUGS!! to which the man showing me to the room seemed to laugh it off. 24hour constantly smelling of weed or cigarette coming through my door that i had to use my suitcase, a towel and coat to stop and block the door to stop it coming in. The room was Disgusting, it was filthy and bed covered in ceiling dust and brick because its falls down on top of your head when the loud man above moves back and forth in his room. I had to go out and physically buy new bed sheets as the ones provide where unclean and holes in it (Cig burns). The curtains are yellow from smoke and has crusty men's body fluid on them (this is not a joke). there is damp and black mood on the window and in bathroom. I had to buy cleaning equipment to clean and wipe down the room and when i asked for a bigger towel received another small hair towel. Walls are paper thin. Walls had blood and dirty on them so did the doors. the Toilet had poo and dried on urine on the seat. The provided toilet roll looked like it had been dropped on the floor outside in the rain and then put in the room on the radiator to dry, the shower didn't work and i couldn't regulate the temp, it was burn your skin off hot or cold. There was a Constant never ending Generator/ buzzing Noise that would NOT stop in the day or at night so sleeping wasn't a thing.

They need to clean this place properly. The first time I entered the building I could smell the carpet. It was dirty. Rooms and bathrooms were also dirty and the sheets has holes.
