Livermead Cliff Hotel

Room was small and smelt, got moved to a different room but I had to pay an extra £30. Also had to pay £12 per night to tonpark in the hotels car park!!!

Rooms weren't very clean. Everything was old, tired and much in need of TLC

Staff all polite and friendly, lady on reception was extremely helpful. 10/10

It was hot so you needed the windows open. From the point of view of watching the TV, the room was a little noisy as it faced the road and was adjacent to the kitchen extractor, but by 9.30 ish the road was quieting and the kitchen was closing so not a huge problem. We would use this hotel again as it had fabulous views across torbay from the terrace, which was lovely as the weather was hot. It appears to be a popular wedding venue which was pleasant to watch but didn't impinge on our use of the bar and garden. It was a spontaneous last minute booking and we thought it competitively priced. It was in a quiet area15 minutes stroll to the harbour pier where there were a good selection of eateries/bars etc. a further 10 minutes would see you in the very centre of the resort. The number 12 bus passes about every 12 minutes to Paignton and Brixham and stops adjacent to the hotel. We visited end May bank holiday.

The only thing that I would like is a plumper pillow. Dogs are welcomed, but sometimes there can be too much of a good thing, particularly if you have allergies.

Noise from a pumped loo system in another room could do with a plumber altering system so no pumped system
