Kankarwa Haveli

Charming old haveli in the heart of old Udaipur. My room was quite large and reasonably priced, and very clean. Breakfasts (included in the room rate) on the rooftop overlooking the lake were a real highlight.

This isn’t a criticism. Just a note that this property might not be good for people with mobility issues, as there are a lot of steep and irregular steps. That’s just how these old haveli heritage places are.

Fantastic spot to see the sunset. Right in middle of old city, close to city palace and easy to get around. Room right on the lake

Location and views are stunning

Even after booking property more than 2 weeks before we did not get rooms for which we paid extra, we got room on ground floor and one on third floor, travelling with family this was not what we expected and paying premium for room with full view and getting it on ground floor because some foreigners came before us wasn’t acceptable

This accommodation offers a beautiful Haveli stay, it is unique, it has a lake view and it's a superb piece of history. Someone told us that the owners are related to the royal family or work for the royal family for many generations, this is how they got the haveli. Rooms are big but ceiling is low, we are quite tall, almost 2m. Otherwise there was no issue.

Indeed wifi does not work in the rooms as the walls are very thick, if that bothers you.

Beautiful Haveli set right on the lake with spectacular views of lake and the sunset! The staff were really helpful and friendly. Very authentic experience in a great location.
