The First Place Yogaresort, Odayam

This was our favourite accommodation in India, a truly lovely place. Sea view, basic but cosy room, mosquito net and air conditioning. Rahul was a great host, he helped us with good advice and made sure we were having a good time in the beautiful Varkala. Thank you Rahul! The breakfast was superb, thanks to the lovely women preparing it, delicious coffee as well. Be sure that we will come back! Mari and Chris @hegoshego

Great place … great location … super friendly and helpful staff

The location in Odayam was very nice . We had a very nice room with a Seaview and a private balcony. There was yoga every morning , a good breakfast. The staff was amazing.

The only thing we didn't like were 2 building sites that were across from us. They were pretty far away but you could still hear the constant background noise . It was only late at night and very early in the morning that we could hear the sound of the waves. We know that this is only temporary of course.

definitely recommend staying here, its a bit of a walk to the cliffs where all the restaurants are, but there is a restaurant close by, the blue water resort, where the food is good. breakfast is excellent. & all the staff are really nice and so helpful.

Our room was equipped with AC and a nice little balcony including sea view. Yogasessions in the morning with Siva were exceptional and the breakfast delicous. The whole team including the owner, Par, was super helpful and always good for a little chat.

The bathroom was a bit small and a little smelly.

It was absolutely brilliant! A stone throw from the beach. Lovely staff & the owner was super nice too, very approachable. My room was spacious with a very comfortable mattress, ensuite bathroom & a nice balcony with a wonderful view of the sea. The yoga class everyday was fantastic, excellent teacher & curated for all levels.A great breakfast up stairs in a big area with lots of room. Really enjoyed my stay & would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a budget friendly spot right by the ocean
