The First Place Yogaresort, Odayam

Really liked the location, close to the cliff and walkable to all nearby cafes and restaurants. Extreme value for your money as well. The rooms are clean, they do provide free breakfast and there are two cute dogs that were a bonus. Faizal was also able to provide us with bikes and a lot of suggestions as well

The heater in the smaller room wasn’t working which was a little uncomfortable considering it was monsoon season and the water was extremely cold. Apart from that nothing else.

Stuff was wonderful, location also quiet and comfortable

We had a lovely view from the balcony. The yoga class that we joined was fantastic. We loved the teacher. We did 2 classes on the 2 days that we stayed. Breakfast was delicious.

The air-conditioner in our room was noisy.

Lovely quiet rooms, clean and with good mosquito nets. Awe had rooms next to each other with a little veranda- very peaceful. Filtered water available on our veranda. Breakfasts were fantastic, with fresh fruit salads and different Kerala breakfasts or pancakes or omelettes every day

Nothing really, it was a great place. Only issue was in payment as what Booking. Com said I owed was different to what the property said (ie they wanted more) as our rooms had air in even though I’d booked budget with no air con and we were then charged an extra 400 per night which was a bit of a shock at the end. They said Booking. Com will not allow the choice …it was all a little confusing tbh)

- we booked a budget room but it was already taken so in the end we recieved a sea view room :) - friendly and helpful staff - yummy breakfast - wonderful yoga lessons with Shiva - we met some very nice people there - mosquito net above the bed!(this is the only place where we found it) - nice design The place is in a silent area (Odayam beach) so it is very chill. The cliff is around 20-30 min walk.

Friendly and welcoming staff and amazing location.

This was truly an exceptional stay. The staff very friendly, approachable and professional. The yoga fantastic. The breakfast delicious - different options each day and the best masala dosa we have eaten so far (and we have eaten many!) The place is well maintained with daily cleaning in common areas and our room was immaculate when we first arrived. The decor is cohesive and well thought through, with an eye for detail. Great location, right by Odayam Beach, which is our preferred beach in Varkala as it’s more peaceful.
