Toby Carvery Old Windsor by Innkeeper's Collection

Stayed before. Friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was great. Room is just what you need. Got a taxi to Windsor centre and had a great day. Plenty of parking and it’s free.

Good location for Windsor with bus stop outside the Toby Innkeepers with regular bus service. Datchet train station only five minutes by car and parking. Ideal for train into London Waterloo.

Love a Toby Carvery and location was ideal. We arrived on Sunday and expected it to be busy. Had to wait a while for checking in. They offer an express check in prior to arrival but you’ve still to wait for keys and someone to show you to your room. The staff were courteous and pleasant. Room was clean and tidy. The downside was one side of the shower screen was broken and had come off it’s hinges. Reported to reception and was told to leave it with them. Having returned to room later that day it was still not fixed so reported to Manager who said she knew nothing about it. She did her best to try and repair but it was obvious it needed new fittings. We were told someone would come out as soon as possible and because they were busy we could not be moved to another room. No one came out during our few days stay and we left on the Wednesday. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was not up to what we usually experience in a Toby Carvery. The bacon was dry and tough due to having been left on the hot plate same as the fried eggs. Very rubbery! Only other option was cereal or porridge. Just looked very sorry for itself. Just like to add the carvery we had on the Sunday was spot on so the breakfast was disappointing.

Convenient to our wedding venue. Reasonable price. Staff very helpful.

The staff were very friendly and the location was great for our needs

There was no lid on the toilet and the shower cubicle is very small. There is no point of offering early check in if it is never available, this is simply annoying

The room was very clean and comfortable.

The carpeting throughout needs a good shampooing if not replacing. Most of the tables in the dining room need rubbing down and revarnishing. A lot of the dining room chairs have their coverings split and need repair/ replacement. Overall externally the building needs refurbishment, paint is peeling off and cracked, pieces of woodwork are broken and missing. On reading the Innkeepers Brochure and then booking one would be very disappointed on arrival. This is the third time I have stayed over a period of 4 years and the fabric of the building has deteriorated very noticeably.
