The setting is genuinely impressive, the lakes and surrounding grounds are very well presented and make the site feel peaceful and well kept. The overall location has a lot of potential and looks great on arrival.

The woodland room was very basic and didn’t feel in line with the price charged. There was also no proper hot water during our stay, the shower was only lukewarm at best and there was no one available at reception to report the issue to. The on-site pub was average, and while portion sizes were large, the food itself wasn’t particularly memorable. The site would also benefit from having a small shop for essentials and snacks.
