The location was good

The room was very cold with little heating, and the shower was broken and only enough hot water for half a shower which was very dissapointing as we were 2. The bar was very sparsly stocked and did not have any ice. VERY POOR FOR A HOTEL CHARGING 180 POUNDS A NIGHT. When we complained to the staff they were very matter of fact and said we should have gone down the 2 flights of stairs to the bar and told them that half way through my wifes shower the water went cold, not a practical solution.

really special location in middle of nature reserve. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not have an evening meal but breakfast was good.

The weather was extremely cold when we stayed there and bedroom was not well heated. Only one radiator in a large room was not enough. In any other weather this would not have been a problem.

Beautiful location and building. Very charming and comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming with a shout out to the barman who was very knowledgeable and helpful . Delicious breakfast.

Our creaky knees struggled a bit getting up 2 flights of stairs

Room a bit small as was the bathroom although clean. No tv. Could have one if we asked for one. Kept banging my head on wall light.

Lovely quiet hotel in a super setting. Very close off the main road, easy to find. Nice gardens to walk around and would be great in summer to sit outside. Great breakfast included in the price, good choice of hot and cold food. Nice bar with good selection of drinks and open late into the evening.
