Enjoyed the eggs benedict. Lunch was very nice snd staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant

Would have liked some fruit at breakfast. The shower needed a shower curtain and something to hook the shower onto so you could stand under the shower

Great ambience (pity about the weather,) and very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts and one very good dinner. The sausage rolls, for lunch snack, were awesome. It is an old place, so we should not complain about steps etc. which add to the attraction (unless you have crutches as my wife did!) and I LOVE the man at the top of the stairs.

Bed was super comfy and the pillows AMAZING. Breakfast was fresh and hot, scrambled eggs were delicious. Friendly staff, building is beautiful and tastefully decorated. Gardens are also beautiful. Only 15 minutes from Thursford.

Very thin walls I'm afraid, lack of information and greeting when we arrived. Walking into a busy pub with my daughter was daunting and we had to stand and wait for milk, really embarrassing, stood wet in our coats with suitcases. Lack of light in the room, obviously this is due to the age of the building, but very dimly lit. Room was cold when we arrived and stayed cold, really needs a small chest of drawers for clothes. I would stay again as I would love to try out the restaurant and explore the area.

Beautiful location and the majority of the staff were exceptional really friendly. We arrived a little early for the 3pm check in and the young staff worked really hard to quickly get our rooms ready

Heating didn’t work we reported this twice and it tried to work and then stopped again. This was during an exceptionally cold night and my 86 year old mother really struggled. Considering this was 165 pounds a night per room you would expect more.no milk to go with coffee and tea . Shame a lovely location but way too expensive for what it delivered.

It’s lovely- it has beautiful things to look at, a building made up of lots of lovely rooms , very quirky and individual . It’s very peaceful and set next to a river , stunning The owners and their staff can’t do enough for you- the food we had was delicious. We were told the breakfast is first class - it was !

We certainly didn’t dislike it for being an older property - lots of stairs and a few cobwebs and creaky floorboards - which just added to the experience

The hosts were very responsive to all the queries I had in advance of our stay. We had originally booked four rooms but one couple were unable to make it. The hosts were very helpful about which of the rooms I should cancel. Our rooms were all clean and there was plenty of hot water in the bathrooms. Our room was described as compact and although it was small it had everything we needed for a two night stay. We ate at the Mill both nights, once upstairs in the restaurant and the second night in one of the nooks of the bar (though we had the restaurant menu). We all enjoyed the food. A goo range of beers and after we drank all the Jameisons they had on our first night they made sure there was a new bottle waiting for us for our second niight. Breakfast was nice with a good choice. The weather wasn't on our side for our visit but had it been less windy and dry we would have explored the area. We would stay again.

Personal preference would be to have had a TV in the room. Would also have liked firmer pillows but again that is just a personal preference.

Everything was great other than the size of the rooms which were very tight….
