The staff were friendly, great food and location.

The hotel was in a lovely location and had a very cosy atmosphere. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the rooms were tastefully decorated and very, very comfortable. The staff were amazing. Mostly young adults but so friendly and efficient. We had a lovely experience in the bar with good food and a a few drinks in a very happy and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was pre ordered and cooked to order, meaning that it was freshly cooked and very good. There was a young man behind the bar who had an excellent knowledge of the history of the village and the area around it. We had a lovely interesting conversation with him.

The only thing was the tiny, tiny en -suite ! It really didn’t bother us and it was quirky and amusing. We totally understood why it was this way (I.e. the wardrobe!) as the proprietor could not do anything else in such a historical building. It was still spotless and well-maintained.

Great hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly and lovely informal vibe. Good pub grub and brilliant location.

Room was small and quite hot but really clean and nicely presented

Bathroom could have been bigger and the bathroom door should be made to close.

The bed in our room was very low to the ground ok for younger people but difficult to use if you are less older .The chairs provided were very basic and again not comfortable.

It had a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Food was good value for money and breakfast was really good.

Rooms were very basic. No wardrobe space. Wash hand sink located in bedroom . No sink in toilet/shower room.
