Dinner and breakfast both excellent. New dinner menu. Our fishcakes were the best ever. Our superior room (we were upgraded) was outstanding - spacious, well fitted and comfortable.

Landlord efficient and businesslike but rather brusque and didn't 'engage' or make us feel very welcome. No telephone number on the booking confirmation.

"A beautiful and peaceful setting combined with thoughtful hospitality made for a relaxed break."

The arrangement of the rooms in a restored barn set around a garden area was lovely and peaceful. The bedrooms were comfortable and well equipped both with good showers. Perhaps time for a TV upgrade because without apps such as Netflix and IPlayer it’s not so easy to find a good film. The breakfast was good with excellent coffee and the evening meals were also good. Rose who was our main person on the service front was kind and hospitable.
