Great pub on location. Spacious room and warm and quiet. Fabulous breakfast in the morning.

Loved everything about the Halfway Bridge. Stayed here for 1 night whilst working locally. Cosy, comfortable accommodation. Rooms are located in a very peaceful area separate from the inn itself, so it’s quiet at all times. My bedroom was beautiful and spacious, it had wooden beams, was very comfortably furnished, the bed had a fantastic mattress and luxurious thick duvet. I also had a huge bath, which was most welcome on a cold evening. The bedroom was warm and cosy. Lots of nice touches in the room, including great selection of teas, a cafetière, and best of all, hot chocolate for a Winter’s night. Large bottles of still and sparking water also supplied. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Everything has been done to a high standard. Staff were all outstanding, I was warmly welcomed and treated at all times as a valued customer. Staff could not have been more accommodating. I had a lovely evening meal in the cosy bar area next to a roaring log fire, which was great. Could not fault the Halfway Bridge in any way, and would stay here again at any opportunity.

Supremely comfortable

It was raining, so the accommodation being 50 yards from the pub meant a damp walk.

The rooms are set back from the main road and separate from the pub so it is very quiet with no traffic noise nor noise from the pub. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Shower worked well, the only downside being that the bathroom was cold. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a really lovely meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was very generous. Would certainly stay here again.

The venue is a good one and nice that they offer full restaurant facilities. The food was on the expensive side as was the wine. Breakfast which was included in t he room price was very good and the room was a nice layout with comfortable bed and a cosy duvet.

The menu could have been a little broader and offered some slightly cheaper dishes. The location is well situated between Petworth and Midhurst and while located next to the A272 the road noise is not disturbing.
