Good breakfast

The room was rundown and freezing cold

The hotel is situated near a park, so I saw a squirrel and a woodpecker! Although the park was not very nice in the winter, I can imagine it is lovely in other seasons. You can walk to the city center in 40 minutes, if you like to hike, like me.

Because I travelled alone, I chose a hotel and not an apartment, so I would have the company of other people, for example during breakfast time. But it was not very cozy, and the breakfast that I had already paid for was actually not served on the 24th of December.

Breakfast was ok.

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and have to say that this was one of the more bizarre experiences. On the day before arrival we received a message to say that the hotel,was actually closed but that we could get our key from a key safe. On arrival there was no sign of life, just a dark hotel with no other cars there. Inside it was very dated and shabby with dodgy electrical fittings in our room. Maybe last decorated in the 1980s. More attention needs to be given to cleaning. There were no coffee or tea facilities and as the place was closed no hope of getting any refreshment at all. Why am I paying full rate if they are closed I ask myself? What service am I getting beyond a bed to sleep in? Also, no toiletries in the bathroom. The listing advertises an EV charge station, but there isn’t one.

Staff was very lovely

The location is perfect if you need a location in the North part of the city. However, without a car it is difficult to reach by public transport in the evening.
