ITPoco distante e fuori dal caos di Semporna si trova questo gioiello. Di spicco la lobby all'aperto dove vieni accolto con grandi sorrisi e cortesia. In fianco il ristorante dove puoi gustare deliziosi piatti asiatici, con grande influenza della cucina cinese. La sera l'atmosfera si scalda e si trasforma, tra luci psichedeliche e colpi di microfono a suon di Karaoke. Le camere si trovano dietro, disposte immerse nel verde, l'arredo è lineare ed ordinato, gli spazi sono giusti, la soluzione è confortevole. Infondo alle camere si trova una piccola "coltivazione" di lucciole, tutte le sere dalle 19.00 una persona dedicata vi accompagna ad ammirarle. La struttura si appoggia ad un'agenzia di Semporna che organizza giornalmente diversi tipi di escursioni, inoltre mette a disposizione una navetta gratuita in fasce orarie stabilite per il centro di Semporna. Il proprietario è straordinario, divertente e molto attento alle esigenze dei suoi ospiti!!! Struttura molto consigliata!!!

I was sad to see they keep a wild bird in a cage for the entertainment of the guests. They even brag about the bird knowing 3 languages. I definitely did not like that. Wild birds shouldn't be kept as pets ...

PTOur three-night stay at Firefly Resort was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Toni and his team welcomed us with warmth and care, making us feel at home right away. The service was outstanding, the room comfortable and well-kept, and the restaurant offered delicious meals in a beautiful setting. Every detail reflected great attention and genuine hospitality. What made the experience even more special was the personal touch of Toni and his staff, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The beauty of the location, together with the convenient shuttle service to Semporna, made it easy to enjoy the region. Here we found much of what we were looking for in Sabah, and it helped make our journey unforgettable. I highly recommend Firefly to anyone travelling from far away in search of peace, the beauty of nature, and true comfort. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

CNthe place is built somewhere inside a tropical jungle and should be awesome, if it has been built in a higher budget - it's very similar to some of my highly-rated hotels in malaysia and sri lanka
1. but the path connecting lobby and all rooms is just dirt-y, the track to connect the hotel and the road network is in completely bad state - muddy, way too many pits. 2. room is rather small. it's just the size to enclose two beds, and beyond that, a very narrow aisle. same for bathroom. 3. the shuttle service is quite good, IF, you can ignore the bad road conditions between the lobby and the public roads. further more, without shuttle service one can never be possible to get to the semporna town. 4. room fails to insulate sounds. very noisy in nights IF rainy or someone else talking loudly in the room next to you or outside 5. insecure. VERY insecure. room has a door with a lock, but the door is made of glass, making it volatile to break in; curtain fails to just preserve the privacy of the room, it's quite easy to look inside from the path 6. breakfast. THE WORST hot chocolate every tasted. it's like a chemical mix of artificial milk and chocolate essence. options to choose from is limited. you may count on the convenience store, or KFC/McDonalds, if you have some low requirement for your food. 7. reception promised to provide a timely response when reaching out, but it just... no....
