Fenway House Hotel

The hotel is a very unique place, we enjoyed the historic atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the room was very nice. We will definitely return.

This little hotel is a nice step back in time to the turn of the last century. Everything is quite simple, but provided for. There's a front desk cage that isn't occupied, but you just call and a friendly person will check you in. Upstairs, there's a nice Fennimore history book, along with the "Coffee Shop" that has what you need to make coffee in your room, along with tea. Also provided are earplugs in case you're staying street-side (Highway 61). I didn't use the earplugs as the traffic dies down into the evening and night time. I was street-side and when I heard it, it was more like the quiet hum of car going by. The rooms aren't the generic hotel rooms you'd stay in within a city or suburb, uniquely old hotel. The only out-of-place accoutrement (other than modern basics like TV, microwave, coffeemaker) is the chuegy box on top of the toilets. Everything else gives a nice feel for 1905. If you're passing through town and need a place to stay, this is a good choice.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and very quaint with much history to it. Rooms are very comfortable and accommodating. Fell in love with the lobby and it's beautiful charm. We arrived late after a long long drive and they texted to make sure we were well and estimated time of arrival so they were present to greet us and make sure all our needs were met. Which all were. Definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.
