Fenway House Hotel

Location was good as we wanted to be in the Fennimore business district. Room was nice enough and I really like the shared beverage station. We never aw any hotel staff but check-in and check-out by phone was easy. If i ever get to Fennimore again I will stay here again but will be certain to get a room away from the street.

We rented a Basic King room which in hindsight was a mistake. The room was right on the main street and traffic noise was considerable. I believe the slightly more expensive rooms were on the side hallways away from the street. I wish when I spoke to the hotel staff and rented the room that they had mentioned that te basic were noisy. The shared beverage station had earplugs available so that pretty well speaks to the noise in those front rooms.

The ARCHITECTURE felt as if I stepped into a classic old movie, so vastly (and nicely) different from most cookie-cutter American hotels. The AMENITIES were absolutely top notch. Clean, comfortable, modern. I would definitely choose to stay at Fenway House Hotel again!

Everything you read in other reviews about the charming, unique nature of this hotel is spot on. Definitely not your "cookie cutter" modern space. Lots of character. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The downside is the road noise. The hotel is right on a busy main street that has plenty of traffic - and there is little to insulate from that noise if you are on that side of the building. I would avoid rooms that face the main street (102, 102, 105, 106). The side street rooms and back side rooms seemed much quieter. I would stay again, but would choose a different room.
