Was right on the beach, small quiet place a bit away from the crowds, just as wanted it. So if quiet and serene is what you look for this is a good choice. Staff super friendly, food good - and also some nice restaurants in the village. I was a single traveler but saw many couples and families at the villa who seemed to enjoy it equally.

Hôtel propre, très entretenu, personnel aux petits soins, cadre familial intimiste. Lit confortable. Excursions organisées parfaitement, aucun souci. Repas copieux et bons, large choix.

We’ve just returned home from the most wonderful stay at Villa Malaika, and we truly couldn’t have asked for more. After a red-eye flight, we arrived several hours before check-in, but this was no issue at all. We waited only around ten minutes for our room to be ready and were warmly welcomed with coffee and a friendly chat with the host. From the very beginning, everyone was incredibly accommodating, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We stayed in a stunning ground-floor room with a terrace, and just below it were two sun loungers overlooking the beach and ocean, which we used every single day. Being just seconds from the beach was absolute perfection. The room was beautifully appointed, with a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities that were refilled daily, and a chilled water dispenser which was a very thoughtful touch. Each evening, a staff member would close the mosquito net and spray the room, and we had no issues at all with insects throughout our stay. Air conditioning wasn’t needed, the ceiling fan above the bed kept the room cool, and if you are still to warm, you can simply open the balcony doors to allow a refreshing sea breeze to flow through. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was simply magical. The room was cleaned daily and always left in immaculate condition. Every member of staff was exceptionally polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The property is also very secure, with security at both entrances 24/7, which added extra peace of mind. The food deserves special mention, it was outstanding. Breakfast was a generous spread of fresh fruit, juices, freshly baked bread and pastries, and eggs cooked to order. Although we hadn’t planned to eat dinner at the villa, we ended up dining there most evenings because the food was just that good. Even simpler dishes on the menu like a toasted sandwich were just delicious and I know we will be craving them in the near future.

Couldn’t fault a single thing

Heel mooie accomodatie met een topligging! Alle comfort aanwezig, drie badkamers, mooi zwembad, lekker restaurant ... Er zou wel een extra ligbed of zetels mogen voorzien worden op het terras. Dan kan iedereen genieten van het magnifieke uitzicht!

We vonden de ontvangst niet echt hartelijk. We waren met de wagen en moesten de wagen buiten parkeren terwijl er eigenlijk wel voldoende voorziene plaats was binnen het terrein. Maar daar kon enkel de wagen van de manager staan. Over de persoon van de manager is veel te zeggen. Hij hield onze pasporten achter (waarschijnlijk als waarborg) om de factuur te laten betalen met allerlei extra kosten: 5% wisselkosten, 5$ per persoon accommodatietaks, wat het ook mag zijn. We zijn drie weken in Tanzania en Zanzibar geweest en op heel wat locaties verbleven en moet zeggen dat deze me het minst beviel qua gastrvijheid. Bovenstaande tarieven moesten we ook nergens anders betalen. Het personeel meent het goed, maar spreken heel gebrekkig engels, zijn heel timide ... ze hebben schrik denk ik. Qua prijs kwaliteit steekt deze er met kop en schouders bovenuit, maar dan aan de verkeerde kant. Als je de lokale bevolking iets wil gunnen, ben je hier aan het verkeerde adres.

You hear the waves in the evening and wake up with the waves in your ears… The location is wonderful. Guido is friendly and helpful. The hot stone massage was stunning!

The electricity goes off a lot and the generator was faulty. No aircon makes it really warm at nights.

We had a great stay at Villa Malaika! It is a beachfront property with an amazing view and you fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were incredible!
