Hotel Peklo

The hotel looks good. Staff is kind. In a meantime the kitchen is a disappointment. I had all night pain in my stomach from the not fresh food what I got. Cheap restaurants do this with a cheese, known that when is melted,the customer dont notice is old. An other disappointment: the meeting room is old school. 50% of the lights are not working so you can hardly see the speaker! I could never give out a meeting room in this condition to rent.

So the room was a little small and slightly weird roofline, but the location is perfect and the staff provided excellent service, from the front desk to the restaurant. We were only there one night, but it was a positive stay. Traffic noise is a bit loud if you're on the street side

The Peklo is absolutely right on the Slovakian border with Hungary - the border is basically at the front door and the hotel almost straddles the Danube. It's a relatively short walk to the town centre and the hotel has it's own private secure car park underneath. The hotel is clean and comfortable enough, but we weren't impressed with the breakfast. I doubt there's a better hotel in Komarno but there's definitely scope to improve the Peklo.

A quiet hotel suitable for those who need to have a good rest after long-hours of working, I am one of those. However, there are some areas can be improved such as, - Breakfast should have various menus and make it fresh, not cold food. - if you go for long-vacation you perhaps will miss breakfast, I was there during Easter holiday and wonder that hotel manager asked it is ok to skip the breakfast as staffs were on leaves to celebrate. Receptionist are friendly and service-mind, thanks!

Whilst it is a relatively good location beside the river it has that dour communist era presence despite the impressive looking photos. In reality the river is not all that scenic and neither is your room. The reception staff were adequate/friendly depending on which shift you struck. Once in the room it was spacious enough but had an austere feel about it. Maybe I'm harsh because the weather wasn't very nice - a big storm went through just before we arrived. Potentially the best available in Komamo/Komaron but then I really didn't find much to recommend the area. There is a beaut spotless car park beneath the hotel which appeared as though its hardly used where we stored our bicycles.

Nice hotel, good location, easy to find, very friendly staff and good service. The food is moderate not a five stars or Michelin star but is OK. Non bottled wine is great the local one. The rooms are clean and spacious.

You can't miss this property. Came here on a bike trip. Inside decor is odd and just not to my liking. Breakfast was okay. They had a nice terrace to dine outside. The location on the main street over the river had a good deal of traffic noise but with the windows closed we didn't notice anything. Bathroom was large. I slept great here. Easy walk to the Slovak or Hungarian side of the river. The Slovak town area was gorgeous!

Was booked in here by my company while I was working on a project just across the river in Komarom. Wasn't expecting much, but what I got was a very nice welcome, excellent wifi, a comfortable bed in an extremely clean room, and a decent night's sleep. Did not try the bar or restaurant but would happily return to do so. Only minor complaint- no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room.
