it was not bad food wise

the staff were rude specially the owner himself I can’t believe the way he talks to the customers we actually left because of it as this is not acceptable also they did not refund us even though it was their fault.

The hotel is not directly in the city, it is more in between the two city on an island. The location is good if you arrive with your bike. Try to get a room on the backside. The rooms are spacious. Nothing to complain about. The food in the restaurant was very good. This is a recommendation to eat. Breakfast was also fine.

Of all the places we stayed on our recent cycling tour along the Euro Velo 6, the Peklo Hotel was our least favourite. It's situated on a busy road next to a bridge and its interior is as dowdy as its surroundings. There's no lift so we were relieved that our room was on the first floor. Our room was okay - nothing special - but the husband slept badly because of the noisy air conditioning and the smell from his pillow. We ate dinner in the restaurant - the food was fine. I felt sorry for young women in their uniforms with very short skirts - not good for their dignity.

We had a nice stay at this hotel in Slovakia. The room was spacious and well fitted out. Beds were comfortable and air con was very effective. Only slight disadvantage is that there is no shower, only a shower head over a very small bath. This stops the hotel getting a top rating in my opinion. All the staff were very helpful and courteous and the breakfast was plentiful both in quantity and variety. Happy to recommend aside from the lack of a shower

Peklo means Hell in Hungarian. Poorly named here, as the staff was very friendly and helpful, and speak English. The rooms were spartan but neat, clean and modern. One drawback: no elevators. However, the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We gave this hotel a strong 3 star. We downgraded it only due to no elevator.

I stayed here on a business trip for a few days whilst working across the border in Hungary. The hotel is right on the Danube and Altho the visit was in winter, the views were good. The hotel is clean and pretty fresh and offers secure parking in an underground garage. There is a restaurant on site - Altho the food wasn’t that good, and it took a long time for it to reach the table. The staff are friendly and spoke good English, there is free WiFi, a tv and mini bar in the room but no facility to make tea/coffee, so when leaving early (before breakfast) we enquired about getting a coffee, and we’re told by the night porter “No”.

We stayed here as part of our cycling trip. First the staff were very friendly but that’s where the good part of this review ends. There was no lift, so I had to haul 2 suitcases to the top floor. The room - you could pick the safe up and take it away (how is that secure?), the bathroom door wouldn’t close, the shower was only a shower head over a bath (with very slow running water), two lamps didn’t work, no phone in room. The meal in the restaurant was mediocre. Just as well it was one night!

Very welcoming reception on arrival which was just as well as we had cycled 50 kms in rain! The hotel was decent and we had a good size room Bathroom was good and also large. The breakfast was OK but lacking in variety in fruit.

Good location, nice building, very kind staff that speaks english and german, near close to mall of Komaron (Hungary) and good restaurant in Komarno (Slovakia). Good for business in the nearest industrial parks. Good price for service that hou will receive. Wifi available but small park area. Style can be updated, also beds, restaurant enough for some dinner or lunch. Small breakfast with cold food. Good experience if you compare with the average of hotels 20 km around.
