Park House Hotel Brooklyn

Fairly quiet, and beds were comfortable; nice, fresh linens/towels. Breakfast was impressive, but not available on Saturday (Sabbath). Neighborhood seems very safe, as it is largely residential with Orthodox/Hassidic Jewish families throughout.

Room was "odd" (large open/empty space in center of room; small dining table; outdated, cheap-looking furniture; tiny TV screen that is too far from beds for comfortable viewing; old, outdated and some broken light fixtures); Carpet was worn/stained/outdated; kitchenette did not have microwave for heating carryout/leftovers; three of the four blinds did not close fully; access to fire escape is blocked by window air conditioner; lobby was cramped and cluttered (there was a fashion/trade show going on the week following our stay); the "coffee lounge" was a joke - instant coffee in a dispenser on the wall and a vending machine that put out cold/lukewarm water! Very small elevator that was very cramped and being used for freight deliveries all day on Sunday of our weekend.

When I called to confirm the day before they said they gave our room away because people didn’t check out, after arguing in the phone they said they have our room and we can still come. When we got there the lady said she has to downgrade our room that we booked because the people didn’t check out today. Never experienced anything like this before.

There was no breakfast available, due to the Jewish holidays. The staff didn't seem sure when there would be a breakfast or no.

The front desk was very helpful when we needed assistance. They also helped with taxi access to the airport that was reasonable.

We would have liked a microwave in the very nice kitchenette. The breakfast was nothing to look forward to.

Convenient location close to a subway station. Lots of space in the apartment, felt like an apartment more than a room.

The hotel was very outdated and did not have a clean feel. The rooms were noisy and you could hear everything from the street. The breakfast area was in the cellar and was connected to service rooms and laundry cupboards. I did not even try the breakfast and ate in town as it was so uninviting and messy.

Very close to D line and station into Manhatten - about 2 min walk to station but ride into manhatten would take min 35 mins and up to an hour at peak, although no train changes, straight to 42nd st staff on front desk very lovely and helpful , they let us park our bike for a night just off the main entrance , super helpful! Breakfast was good with great selection

Brooklyn ! The Area was very dirty, it’s a very Eclectic area . I would feel a little unsafe if on my own but the hotel itself was lovely. The price ! UN assembly was on so NYC very busy and expensive, this is the reason we stayed in this area because Manhatten out of our budget

What did I like ? Checking out . I can’t say enough to stop the next person from making this mistake . Also bring your top hat 🎩

Everything the place is horrible

the receptionists were very polite and give us good advice for our stay in New York/Brooklyn. Good breakfast, room clean and new towels every day. I'll come back for another NYC trip
