Wonderful breakfast, comfortable bedroom and lovely location

Surprising that the bed was sheet and blanket rather than a downie. Although clean some of the furniture was a bit old fashioned. Although dinners in the bistro were very good in general some items looked a bit overcooked or even re-heated

Leider war es sehr hellhörig und der Schlaf aufgrund schnarchender Nachbarn etwas erschwert.

Struttura interessante ma con carenze di ammodernamento e manutenzione. Senza ascensore e dotato di scale poco comode. Lavandino con doppio rubinetto calo e freddo separati. Prezzo non adeguato. Personale cortese e disponibile. Buona la cena.

The restaurant was excellent, the views and location were great. It was an older building but clean and we'll maintained.

Most of the staff were great and very friendly and welcoming. Comfy room, with character. Enjoyed the sitting room upstairs after dinner - saw loads of porpoises in the sea! The view is fantastic!

Odd experience at breakfast. I ordered Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cold and almost raw. I soldiered through one of them and thought I can't eat this so called the waitress over. She seemed completely stumped when I explained the situation and said "well, I don't know what you want me to do about it". I think this was due to lack of experience but I had to suggest she let the kitchen know and offering to sort it out with a replacement would be a good idea. About 20 minutes later I was given the dish again which was better, but it wasn't the best finish to the stay.

Absolutely stunning view across the loch in a very stylish historical manor house. Great breakfast and dinner with varied selection of Scottish dishes.

Just keep in mind historical houses are not up to modern standard when it comes to sound insulation between rooms. In room 20 we could hear people from the room above us.

The friendly staff, location, food and warm atmosphere.

Absolutely stunning location - right on the loch. Very peaceful. Steeped in history (Mary Queen of Scots landed just in front of the hotel nearly 500 years ago and allegedly Ian Fleming stayed), lovely bedroom, clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Delicous breakfast, well presented and accomodated dietary preferences well. Staff communicated quickly via booking.com messages. Very close to Invararey Castle.

Only slight downside was that some of the main areas and our bathroom could do with some modernisation.
