Our room was basic - ok and bathroom quite new but dirty carpet. Our room wasn’t made up even though we put the ‘please make up my room sign.

Distance to the castle, rooms were clean, comfy beds, good breakfast.

Lack of bar being open & not being informed that it had to be pre arranged, check out time could be a bit later than 10am.

It was in the perfect location for us, the property was super cute, the little lodge we had was amazing

Beds Uncomfortable, breakfast not great, email confirmation states breakfast served in castle to arrive ti then be told no back down at the lodge absolute shambles check in at 12 room wasnt ready Certainly not worth the £170 a night thats for sure

Remote check in was easy as full instructions were supplied. We were offered a continental breakfast when we booked but the kitchen staff had a full english breakfast ready for us which was a lovely surprise. We stayed at the Wyndham the night before attending a wedding at Clearwell Castle. There was a 2 hour gap between checking out of the Wyndham and checking into the castle. We were able to wait in the bar area at the Wyndham and the kitchen and reception staff were really kind and friendly and supplied us with tea and coffee while we waited.

The Wi-Fi connection kept dropping out but I understand that they had been experiencing problems with this so hopefully, this was only a temporary glitch and the mobile signal was good considering it is such a rural location. We were unable to eat in the hotel as the bar and restaurant are only open for pre booked events but they recommended the Butchers Arms which is a short walk from the Wyndham and the meal we had there was excellent.

Breakfast good, location good, easy to find.

We could not get an evening meal at the Wyndham, consequently had a very long walk in the rain to find a pub. The nearby pub was closed, not the fault of the Wyndham, but still inconvenient. Only other complaint was the lack of a non slip mat in the shower.
