The Wyndham Hotel

The location is close to Clearwell Castle wedding venue. The beds are clean and comfy.

The check in arrangements are a joke. Took well over an hour to checkin - no staff anywhere in the hotel and no one answers phone calls. We eventually had to walk back to the castle to get the keys. No explanation of check in was given other than they hold the right to implement remote check in (whatever that is). No toiletries other than liquid soap. (Given the price of the room you would expect better) Breakfast (in the castle) poorly organised. Hairs in the shower (not ours)

Location, cleanliness, facilities and comfort couldn't have been beaten. Great job!

Convenient location

Great location and stay for the wedding we attended at Clearwell Castle. Rooms very comfortable

Communication wasn’t the best, the staff didn’t seem to communicate to each other. We booked another night stay and was told we would have to move rooms, then the rang my husband and said we don’t have to move. I was getting ready to go to the wedding and a staff member walked In the room, no knock, just opened the door. Was only told hours before hand that if we wanted dinner there was no restaurant and the local pub would need booking. So had to drive to the nearest town for dinner. No bar at the hotel either which seemed strange as a large wedding party stayed the next before

Lovely hotel. Although the restaurant was closed for evening meals, there was a lovely pub nearby with lovely food.

Reception not manned on arrival to check-in for a long time and no one on departure. Also no hairdryer provided in room as would be expected.

Good base if attending an event at the castle

Lovely stay and felt very welcoming. We were staying to attend a wedding at the castle. We knew we could check in at 12 as we were part of the wedding party.....however the lovely lady who was working on the day came to find us as our room was ready early so we could change in time for the ceremony, very special service thank you for our warm welcome. Everything in our room was lovely ... nicely decorated and very comfortable. Lovely shower! Fab breakfast 😍
