If you want to experience Sri Lanka life, this is the best place to stay. The family (extended) all live around the place and help with the management of the hotel and restaurant. We loved our stay here. We were here for 2 weeks. The breakfast is fantastic! Lots of food and different every day. We had numerous dinners at the restaurant as well.. highly recommend. Beautiful deck on the water with delicious food. It was great to fall asleep with the sound of waves.

Our room was next to the communal kitchen and inconsiderate guests woke us up after coming home after a night out to continue chatting or phoning girlfriends on speaker phone at 1am in the morning. Nothing that cannot be fixed with a note that communal area should not be used certain areas

The property is close to the beach.

The room lacked basic amenities—no water bottle, toiletries, coffee, or electric kettle. The bathroom door lock was also broken, and despite informing them, it was never fixed. The room wasn’t cleaned during my stay. The family room didn’t offer a sea view as expected, and the hotel is located near a busy main road, making it very noisy. Additionally, they exchanged money at a rate of 1 USD = 300 LKR, despite the actual rate being much lower on both my booking and check-out days. I’m really puzzled by the positive reviews this hotel has received. There are only two restaurants nearby, and both are overpriced— for example, a chicken burger cost 3500 LKR. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Nothing too fancy here but done well; comfortable, clean and a really amazing setting, RIGHT on the beach just open Ur window and figure out which wave U wanna ride (straight out is good when the tide is high) the family were lovely and friendly & Lakshan was very helpful on a variety of levels. Will stay again

It was nice that it was on the beach but it is NOT in Weligama, it is in Midigama.

The host was straight up weird, looking at us in a very strange way, and we had to wake him up if we went out for dinner because he did not want to give us a spare or leave the back door open.

- NO CREDIT CARD even if it write on booking - Smell very bad, no cleaning - No AC, you have to pay more - You feel like you're in people's homes and disturbing them. He'd lock the door at night (10pm) and we'd have to wait outside and knock on the door for him to wake up. - they tried to scam us off by getting their tuktuk friend to come and make us believe that 3000LKR was a good local price for a 10-minute drive
