The hotel was more than wonderful. I recommend it 100% !! My friends and I stayed in Sri Lanka in 6 different hotels, some of which were 5 stars. The Tinara Inn River Hotel was the best by far. Most importantly though, it was spotless, everything was perfectly clean from the outdoors areas to the rooms, which was quite difficult with our stays in Sri Lanka. Mrs Babi is very helpful, she makes you feel that she is hosting you in her home. She did everything to make us feel good, from the first minute we stepped foot in her hotel. In addition, it is in a perfect location!! You don't need tuk tuk to go to the beach because it's only a 5 minute walk. It is also , 3 minutes from the main street with the most famous breakfast and brunch coffee shops. Mrs Babi also helped us when we needed tuk tuk as well as a shuttle for our transfer to the airport! Mrs Babi thank you for the amazing hospitality 🙏 We will miss you !! ❤️

First of all, the host was amazing! She is super kind and helpful. She does almost everything herself and makes the most delicious breakfast. Room is spacious and comfortable, with a nice balcony. The hotel is also perfectly located, super close to the town, but just far away enough for it to be quiet. Thank you for the great care! I would recommend this beautiful Inn to everybody! :)

Hidden gem with wonderful family running the business. Babi was a star!!! Always smiling, ready to help and to meet your needs!! Huuuge breakfast with Sri Lanka touch. Delicious!

Great breakfast! Large room with aricon! Quiet and rest well at night. Walking distance to the beach and surfing. Wifi is great at large open space which is very quiet for work. Also money sometimes passing by.

I felt so comfortable and at peace at Tinara. My room (double room with balcony) was spacious, with comfortable bed, a table, fridge, well working a/c and fan, strong wifi and FANTASTIC jungle view from the balcony, I absolutely loved it. Tinara is further from the busy street, so there is no traffic noise. It takes 5-10 mins walk to the beach, depends how fast you go. There are little shops nearby to stock up on water, juices, fruits etc. Babi takes extremely good care of her guests. She makes awesome breakfasts (fresh coconus pankaces, omellete, dhal, toasts with jam, fresh mango smootie... I could not eat it all, the breakfasts were huge). I asked her one evening for rice and curry, and she was kind to make it as well, all for good prices. I would absolutely come back and recommend to my friends. Prior to coming to Tinara I spent two nights on beachfront, the place was not very clean and with many flaws (unfunctional a/c etc.)... coming afterwards to Tinara was SUCH a relief, I felt so greateful for finding such a lovely place. 10/10 in all aspects.

Clean and tidy room surrounded by the jungle. Check in/out was flexible. Host was very attentive and she cook amazing Sri Lankan style breakfast every morning. 5 min away from the beach. The host will help you to recommend nice places to visit and also she arrange tuk tuk for you. Really enjoyed my stay🥰

The host is amazing, kind and always available and helpful with everything we needed or asked. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The inn’s location is perfect for anyone that is looking for a quiet place, not in the center of the town, but in a walking distance from the beach (5 minutes) and the center (10 minutes). We enjoyed our stay so much!
